Palace in your Heart

Little Jeanne wiped her mommy’s eyes, “You do not look good that way Mama,” she said.
For little Jeanne and her Mama, days were as tough than the previous. There was hardly any work left for Mama at the packaging division. The winter was fast setting in, if weather reports were to be believed it said that winter this year would be colder than before.
Mama was worried where will the food come from? She prayed hard each night, before she slept, “Lord! Please get me some work tomorrow, at least give me the courage to sustain another day”Nights after nights went by; her pillow carried the patch of tears that flowed to leave a mark each night. But nothing changed.
It was same day, no work, it was as though Mama had knew ahead what would happen each day. It was because, except for change in the dates, and weather nothing in their life changed. Nothing changed.
Jeanne knew her Mama’s heart, she too prayed each day. A little silent prayer, “Lord, I want to meet you, why don’t you come to me? You promised to look and care for me, I promise to be a good girl, I promise never to skip my evening prayer? Will you come to me then?” “Lord, I don’t want chocolates and candies, neither do I want the blue ribbon that Clara dons her hair each day, I just want you to give a little space and answer my Mama’s prayer”
Next day when Mama came back home, she had tears in her eyes, it were the tears of joy, “Jeanne,” she said, “The Lord loves us”
That night when Jeanne sat for her prayers, she thanked the Lord and said, “Thank you Lord, for giving us a palace in your heart.”

It's the togetherness, perseverence and faith that counts. This story simply proves this statement once again. Very well written...touched the heart indeed!:)

There would always be a blend of good and bad days in our lives. But,if we have faith in ourselves then good days cannot elude us.But, one thing is for sure that all of us should not only ask, but also consciously Thank the Almighty! for whatever we have.
